Relief

The transition from a virtual surface to grey tone painting ( for the representation of flat-reliefs ) is fluent. Light and dark lines on a fictitious material already suggest edges and three dimensions. From here its only a small step to the relief of drapes - up to the fully plastic forms of stone busts and statues.
