Restaurant

The large mural paintings for the restaurant “Casa dell Arte” in the town of Pirmasens are created on canvas in our studio. Additionally, we also deliver the 50 square metre large painting of the sky, ready to be wallpapered onto the ceiling. Thanks to most of the preparation being done outside of the restaurant, it is possible to keep the amount of time the restaurant has to close for, to a minimum. The paintings continue the large door ornaments of the annexed conservatory in life size, and also depict the actual garden which is situated in front of the restaurant. The hillside location of the building is also taken into account, by directing the attention of the observer to an ascending landscape capturing themes from the Palatine woods surrounding the area. The trees, which are shown as growing trunks in the painting, unfold their crowns on the ceiling of the room, with the observer viewing it from below.

Strictly speaking, the restaurant design is not an omnidirectional painting. However, the paintings are perfectly fitted around the architecture and position of the room. Additionally the depicted themes are continued up the inside walls onto the ceiling, where the sky is depicted. By doing so, the whole room is transformed into a different world.
