Organisation

Management

Ursula and Martin Benad are responsible for the lecture contents, the organisation and the implementation of the seminars. They will be supported by guest lecturers if necessary.

Seminar dates

The seminars usually take place on extended weekends. This enables people to take part in the academy alongside their job. The dates for the upcoming semester will be discussed with all participants as early as possible; very often all dates will be planed ahead for a whole year in December of the year before. The seminars of academy groups, in which more than 12 participants are registered, are often held twice, making it easier to choose a date.
If however, someone is unable to take part in a seminar (for example through illness), that person will have to option to take the seminar in the following year instead.
There is no legal claim to the execution of all seminars. Through unforeseen illness, higher power or other unforeseeable events, seminars may be cancelled, moved or adjusted.

Number of participants

The minimum number of participants per year is 6. Should there be more than 12 participants per seminar, the group will be split into two different groups. The seminars will then be taught one week apart or twice in two weeks, to guarantee intense individual attention to each participant.

How to get here and where to stay

The seminars are held both at Atelier Benad in Munich (Bavaria)
and at "Atelier Gleis 3" in Solingen (North-Rhine Westpahlia)
You con chose where to join; and you can switch the location depending on the date that fits best for you.

Munich
Studio Benad lies in a quiet and idyllic yet easily accessible place close to the city centre. The studio on “Bordeauxplatz” is only 5 minutes walking distance from the “Ostbahnhof”. The “Ostbahnhof” has direct links to the airport, the rail-network, bus connections and the subway, as well as the tram and “S-Bahn”. This makes it easy to find accommodation in the Munich area according to your own ideas of price and comfort.
Due to the fact that seminars start at 9:30 in the morning, participants in seminars coming in by plane for example, will be under no pressure to arrive on time.

Solingen
Solingen is located in North-Rhine Westphalia near Cologne and Düsseldorf (both of them have airports).
The seminars are held in
Güterhallen Solingen, Atelier Gleis 3, Alexander-Coppel-Str. 34, 42651 Solingen.
Information about local public transport and accomodation will be provided shortly.
