Stephanus Chapel (Dinkelscherben/Schönebach)

Situated between Augsburg and Memmingen, the Stephanus Chapel was built amidst lush nature near a fish pond. Stephanus ( * 1 AD; † ca. 36/40 AD.) is one of the first christian martyrs.
For the ornamented gables we chose a preaching scene and decided to execute it with glazing silicate colours.
The surface of the gable over this double folding door, through which you reach the semi-open reception room, contains a shell-motif (scallop), executed in grisaille technique.
With the colours being rather reserved, there is a logical allocation with the massive oak double folding door, that now has the character of a portal. On the other hand the shell motif is subordinated below the Stephanus motif.

The semi-dome, which vaults the apsis inside of the chapel, will be glazed in a sky blue colour with a colour progression from cerulean at the bottom to ultramarine at the centre of the cupola. Light summer clouds run across the sky, which is limited by a cornice painted in grey tone painting technique at the bottom of the whole painting.
The altar, originally made of stone, is transformed to look like a marble altar.
For the opposite wall (above the entrance door, no picture on this website) we will create a portrait painting.
The varying artistic works we create, contribute to the exceptional appearance of the chapel, which is owed to the commitment of a private developer and several donors.

Birth Chapel (Isen near Erding)

For a chapel in the Bavarian Isen (Dorfner Street 7), we created an annunciation motif (biblical), which was executed in correspondence with the developer. It orientates itself along a Nazarene style.
The scene, which is almost lifesize - if you can say so about angels - seems to take place in the backroom of the chapel, which is separated from the main room by a (painted) round arch. Through a (painted) window on the back wall, which, in its form and perspective corresponds exactly with the building, one can look outside onto a rosebush.
We refine the actual round arch, situated in the front part of the chapel, with a complex Grisaille-Ornament in a Renaissance Style.
We use silicate glazings manufactured by Keim for all our glazing work on smooth line-cement plaster.
