Material Imitation (faux finishing)
Faux finish is the basic form of illusionistic painting. Traditionally it includes the classical techniques of marbling and wood graining, and the representation of various stone surfaces from granite to lapis lazuli.
Atelier Benad commands not only theses traditional techniques, but also is developing exclusive and astonishing faux finishes for any commission: from silk carpets reflecting different lights through leather covering and upholstered walls up to concrete, chequer plate and glass.
Painted mosaic is preferred on floors: in the Style of Pompeii, Venice or in individual styles fitting each particular room.
- We carry out marbling on almost all surfaces, e.g. concrete coloums,
- we change smooth walls (e.g. plasterboard) into sandstone or granite,
- we paint wainscot panels in all woods (e.g. oak, ash, mahagony)
