Advanced Training

- workshops to learn and refine techniques
- academy to become a professional muralist

Organisation

Administration and direction of the course
The academy is run by Ursula and Martin Benad. They are responsible for the curriculum and the workshop organisation. Occasionally they will enhance the programme by inviting other experts in their fields to give presentations to the students.

Dates
Workshops and study days are arranged predominantly over long weekends. This allows people to continue their professional occupation while studying. The dates for the following semester will be discussed and arranged with the students approximately half a year in advance. If students are pre-vented from attendance at short notice, it may be possible for them to take part in the same work-shop one year later.

Accomodation
(see „Atelier Benad studio / accomodation“)

academy: balustrade
academy: rounded niche (grisaille)

Number of participants
Every year the academy accepts approximately 8 -12 students: the minimum number for each course is 7 students. If less students apply, we are unable to run the particular course and there is no legal obligation on the academy to do so. In these circumstances fees that have been paid will be refunded.
Both curriculum and times are liable to alteration. The academy reserves the right to exclude peo-ple for unacceptable behaviour at any time during the course.

Construction of perspective for murals: guest lecturer Jürgen Opitz
Sales training: guest lecturer Christine Buhlmann

Diploma
The success of the participants will be recognised by the granting of a diploma by Atelier Benad. Successful participation requires continued attendance of workshops and study days, timely com-pletion of assignments at home, and achievement of the necessary standards in the final assign-ment. The diploma is not state approved and there is no entitlement to a state academic title. Ursula and Martin Benad provide no guarantee that the diploma will lead to a successful career or em-ployment but the diploma documents the regular attendance and the quality of artistic achievement.
